Important Information
PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS
* All visitors must report at reception to sign the park indemnity and pay their entry fee.
* No intoxicated visitors allowed on the venue or trails.
* Visitors should always stay on the trails and adhere to route markers and warnings.
* Be respectful to all animals and other trail users.
* Koedoeslaagte is a nature reserve: fishing and hunting are strictly prohibited. Visitors are not allowed to access the river from Koedoeslaagte to fish.
* No pets are allowed! (guide-dogs are allowed)
* Feeding of wild animals is strictly prohibited.
* No artifacts, rocks, animals, wood, plants or plant material may be removed, damaged or defaced. Feathers and porcupine quills found along the routes may be collected.
* No motorsport at Koedoeslaagte (electric pedal-drive bikes are allowed)
* Do not harm animals and do not disturb nests/dens.
* No open fires in the veld or along the trails. Fires are only allowed in designated braai areas.
* No smoking along trails.
* No alcohol allowed on the trails.
* No littering
* No audible electric/electronic music allowed. Acoustic music and singing are allowed. Visitors must be considerate to all
visitors at all times.
* Quiet time 22h00 – 07h00
* Minors swimming in the Koedoe-dam or in the river should at all times be under parental/guardian’s supervision.
* Helmets are compulsory for all cycling and horse riding activities.
* While on the river, all minors are required to wear a life-jacket at all times.
